RULES AND CONDITIONS 1 Display three pots of preserves, one from each section below. Pots to be no bigger than 454gms. (1lb) all the same size • Soft Fruits • Stoned Fruits • Marmalade Max. space allowed 22cm. x 22cm. 2. Points will be awarded for taste, appearance, sealing, setting and presentation 3. Lids only to be used. 4. All three pots to be labelled 5. No biscuits or scones to be displayed with exhibit. 6. Simple presentation only required. 7. The competition is confined to amateurs. 8. Two exhibits will qualify from each show. 9. The exhibits must be home produced by the exhibitor. 10. In the event of a signed and written objection and following an investigation, and if the exhibitor is deemed to be making a living from their profession, they may be disqualified. 11. A special class will be held at each qualifying show. 12. All preserves will be sampled. 13. The judge’s decision at all stages of the competition is final 14. Exhibits are displayed at owner’s risk. 15. For the final fresh pots of preserves must be entered. 16. An exhibitor can only qualify one exhibit for the All-Ireland final. FINAL: ARVA SHOW - Sunday 26th July 2026
Exhibits must be presented between 10:00 am –12 noon. Judging commences at 1.00pm.

Please note prize money will be paid out on the day of the show after 4.30pm.
