POULTRY SECTION

(Rule 5 of the Show Rules apply)

  • Exhibits must be penned by 10.00am
  • Birds showing signs of disease or infestation of pests will be disqualified
  • Closing date of entries Wednesday 16th May 2019.  NB: No Late Entries
  • Its very important to have entries submitted by this date in order to secure a cage on the day .
  • Judging will commence at 11:00 am sharp and 1:00pm Championship
  • Judges decision final in all matters.
  • Prize money paid out after 4pm when exhibits can then be
  • 1st €15, 2nd €10, 3rd€8
  • Rosettes to all prize winners.
  • Trophy to Champion and Reserve

Final Prize Fund: €355 in each Final
Rules & Conditions

  1. The competition is open to all breeds of True i. e. Belgian, Dutch, Japanese, Pekin, Rosecomb or Seabright
  2. Up to Four birds from each qualifying show will be eligible to compete in the final
  3. Individual competitors may qualify no more than two birds for each final
  4. Chickens qualifying for entry in the final may not be entered in any other classes at Swinford Show
  5. The chickens must be penned in the cages provided at the showgrounds by 10.30am
  6. Final to be judged at 1pm
  7. These rules should be read in conjunction with the ISA Rules.
  8. Straw bedding only, no wood chip or paper.

PRIZES: 1st €100, 2nd €60, 3rd €40, 4th €30, 5th €20, 6th to last €15

Entry fee: To qualifying Show €3 Final €6
